Stand Firm!

October 29, 2014

There are no half measures in this faith race. Isaiah 7:9b says that if don’t stand firm in Your faith, you will not stand at all.
It is either you have faith or you don’t have it, there is no in-between; and you can not stand in a faith that you don’t have.
So how do we have this faith; I mean the true faith, the faith of God?
Romans 10:17 tells us that this faith comes by the hearing of the word of God.
We also know that Jesus Christ is the Word of God made flesh, John 1:1-4. Therefore, we are not deceived; we know there can be no true faith of God outside Jesus Christ, the Word of God.
My friend, the validity of this truth is not subject to any human opinion or interpretation as the Truth does not need popular acceptance to remain true.
That righteousness that God requires of you, that you are looking for, only comes by faith; and that faith will not come without Jesus Christ, the Word of God.
So, what are you going to do? Will you in your pride get angry with God and stay outside His righteousness? Or, will you be wise and humble enough to take the Way He has provided? The choice is entirely yours.

If you are the wise & humble one, say this simple prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for your death and resurrection for my sake, I accept you today as my Lord and Savior. I handover the reigns of my life to you, live your life in me. Father God, thank you for making me your child today, in Jesus name. Amen!
Congratulations! Welcome to the family of God.

Now to all of us who are in The Lord, let us not forget that if we are going to be able to stand at all in these last days, we must be firm in our faith.
Ephesians 6:13-14 …, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, …
Together, let’s find out those things we will need to do to stand in the coming days. Let’s find out how to stand firm.
Stay blessed,

As we celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, I think it is expedient for everyone to make sure they have an accurate understanding of who Jesus really is.
To use the words of C.S. Lewis:
“I am trying here to prevent anyone from saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: ‘I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.’ That is the one thing we must not say….You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call him Lord and God. But let us not come up with the patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
Josh McDowell said “You cannot put Him on the shelf as a great moral teacher. That is not a valid option. He is either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord and God. You must make a choice”.
So I ask, who do you say Jesus is?
And, who is God to you?

Irrespective of what people say with their mouth, we know that mighty few people are foolish enough to say in their heart that there is no God. Ps.14:1

Men know there is God; many just don’t know who He really is.

As God has not made His existence obscure to humanity, men know God; though they may refuse to acknowledge Him as God. Rom.1:21

I work in a society that is as diverse as you can imagine. When you have more than ten tribes in a small city of half a million people and each group tries to hold unto their tongue, you get to hear God called by various names.

God is called Yalla in Wolof, Nacienbati in Manjago, Emmitey in Jola, Putum in Karoninka, Ubangiji in Hausa, Chineke in Igbo, and Olorun in Yoruba, to mention a few.

I have also…
